Kuban farmer Oleg Petrov detained after search of his house

Tonight, after a search carried out in the house of Oleg Petrov, a participant in the protest movement of Kuban farmers, the owner of the house was detained. This was reported by his wife Elena Petrova.

Starting from the morning of March 28, in the Cossack village of Kazanskaya, the police blocked all the exits from the field camp of farmer Oleg Petrov, from where the "tractor march" was to be started. Oleg Petrov was brought to the Kropotkin OVD (Interior Division). Organizers of the protest action announced the disruption of the march, and then it became known that the police searched the Oleg Petrov's house for five hours.

This morning, Elena Petrova, the wife of the activist, has reported that after the search in the house and the registration of all necessary protocols, the policemen detained Oleg Petrov.

According to advocate Vladimir Shamshurov, his client Oleg Petrov was detained in connection with the criminal case of fraud.

The advocate believes that his client is not guilty. Vladimir Shamshurov has also stated that all the necessary documents proving the innocence of his client had been provided to investigators.
