Police of Armenia receive 69 reports on election violations

The law enforcement agencies have launched an investigation into 17 reports on violations committed in the course of the elections to the Council of Elders of Yerevan. The verification on 52 cases of violations is underway, the Police of Armenia report.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that today, at 8:00 a.m. Yerevan time, 474 polling stations have been opened in the capital of Armenia. The voting has been finished precisely at 8:00, and, according to the Central Election Commission (CEC), 40.99% of voters took part in it.

By 8:00 p.m. local time, the Police of Armenia reported on receiving 69 reports on violations committed in the course of the voting at the elections to the Council of Elders of Yerevan.

"In particular, the police are investigating 17 reports on obstructing the activities of an observer or a person participating in elections, on repeated voting or voting for another voter, as well as on bribing voters. Other 52 reports are under verification," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by a police officer.
