In Volgograd, three persons killed in apartment building explosion

This afternoon, an entrance of a four-storey building has collapsed in the Soviet District of Volgograd. The explosion of domestic gas damaged 16 apartments in a residential building. According to the preliminary information, three persons were killed, and eleven others needed medical assistance.

According to the Chief Department of the Russian Ministry for Emergencies (MfE) for the Volgograd Region, the entrance of the apartment building collapsed as a result of a gas explosion when workers of the gas services were operating there, the "TASS" reports.

Earlier, it has been reported that two persons were killed as a result of the collapse. According to an informed source of the agency "Narodnye Novosti", the death toll in Volgograd increased to three persons.
