Activists hold solo pickets against corruption in Astrakhan

In the centre of Astrakhan, Alexei Tyurin, a supporter of Alexei Navalny, and activist Mikhail Anisenko held solo pickets with the demand for the resignation of the Russian government.

Both actions took place at the intersection of Kirov and Lenin Streets in the centre of Astrakhan on May 24. Alexei Tyurin and Mikhail Anisenko changed each other for solo pickets. In their hands, they were holding a poster reading: "Paragraph 1 of Article 3 of the Constitution. Corruption destroys Russia. Government should be dismissed." The poster also mentioned the video "He is not Dimon for you", the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.

The Anti-Corruption Foundation (ACF) produced the film "He is not Dimon for you", dedicated to the "secret empire of Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev." According to the authors of the film, including ACF leader Alexei Navalny, the Russian Prime Minister is involved in a large-scale corruption scheme using charitable foundations. On March 26, after the release of the film, in many cities of Russia, activists held actions with the demand to investigate the information announced in the film.

"We have decided to hold pickets in order to inform city residents about the Alexei Navalny's investigations," Alexei Tyurin told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
