In Stavropol Territory, number of flooded residential buildings reaches 1789

Since May 26, the number of residential buildings flooded in the Stavropol Territory has increased by 1415, and 2077 people were evacuated from the flooded area, the Ministry for Emergencies (MfE) reports.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on May 24, in the Stavropol Territory, an emergency regime was introduced because of the flooding.

According to the MfE's information as at 8:00 a.m. Moscow time, in the territory of the Stavropol Territory, 15 villages and towns in seven municipal formations were flooded. In total, in the StavropolTerritory, 1789 residential houses with population of 5531 people and yards of 2715 houses with 8401 people are flooded.

2077 people were evacuated from the flooded area. Of them, 145 stay at temporary accommodation points, while the rest are sheltered by their relatives and friends, reports the website of the MfE's Department for the Stavropol Territory.
