The court has dismissed an appeal filed against the arrest of 80-year-old Yuri Babayan, accused of damaging a gas pipe. Earlier, the court has pronounced the decision to arrest until July 16 entrepreneur Yuraslav Babayan, his father Yuri Babayan, and Vladimir Leksunkin, a worker hired by them. On May 26, the suspects were charged under Article "carrying out works failing to comply with the security requirements, which resulted in deaths of more than two persons through negligence".

Let us remind you that on May 16, in the Soviet District of Volgograd, an entrance of a four-storey building collapsed as a result of an explosion. Four persons died, and other 11 were injured. According to the investigators, the gas explosion occurred because of damage to a pipeline as a result of an illegal attempt of connection to a water supply pipeline.
