Dagestan completely fills its quota of 8500 places for Hajj
The quota for Dagestani pilgrims has been fully filled, and the reception of documents has been suspended. The persons who want to go to the Hajj this year may sign up for the reserve, reports the "Marva-Tour", a company sending pilgrims to the Hajj.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in 2017, like in 2016, Dagestan was granted the largest quota for the Hajj among the Russian regions: 6000 places. On June 20, Bulat Kurbanov, a staff member of a company sending pilgrims to the Hajj, stated that the Hajj mission for Russia had extended the Dagestani quota for pilgrims for additional 2500 places.
The Hajj (one of the five pillars of Islam) is a pilgrimage to the sacred Mecca for Muslims, and it takes place at the beginning of Dhul-Hijjah, the 12th month of the Muslim lunar calendar. In 2017, the Hajj falls on September 1-4.
According to the staff member of the company sending pilgrims to Hajj, the first trips to Hajj will begin on August 15ю
