Armenian wrestler wins World Cup gold medal

In Paris, in the final of the World Greco-Roman Wrestling Championship, Arthur Alexanyan, an athlete from Armenia, has defeated Russian athlete Musa Evloev.

On August 21, in the final fight in Paris, Arthur Alexanyan defeated Musa Evloev with the score 3: 1. This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent at the National Olympic Committee of Armenia.

In the semi-final, Arthur Alexanyan, who competes in the category of up to 98 kg, proved to be stronger than Rustam Asakalov, an athlete from Uzbekistan.

Arthur Alexanyan is a native of Gyumri. In 2016, he became the Olympic champion. The leader of the Armenian national team is also the bronze medallist of the 2012 Olympic Games, the three-time European champion, and the multiple champion of Armenia.
