Three Chechen children brought back from Iraq

Four women and eight children have been brought to Russia from Iraq, including a resident of Chechnya with her three sons.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Russian authorities are trying to return the children, whose parents left together with them to Syria and Iraq and joined terrorists there. According to the Children’s Ombudsperson under the Russian President, there are 350 such children, mostly from Chechnya and Dagestan.

Tonight, a special flight landed in Chechnya from Iraq, bringing four women and eight children aged from six months to nine years, the “Interfax” reports.

The passengers include a resident of Chechnya with her three sons; a resident of Tyumen with her son; a resident of Tver with her son; and a citizen of Kazakhstan with her three sons. They were accompanied by Ziyad Sapsabi, the representative of the head of Chechnya in the Middle East and in the countries of Northern Africa, a member of the Russian Federation Council.
