Resident of Stavropol Territory announced author of anonymous calls with terror threats

A 27-year-old resident of the Stavropol Territory, who had left for Syria to fight for militants, could be the author of mass phone calls about allegedly mined buildings throughout Russia, a source has reported today.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on September 11, the police of Stavropol received 42 calls about mined buildings; similar calls were made in quite many other Russian cities.

Albert Abramov, 27, a resident of the Stavropol Territory, was announced to be the author of mass phone calls with threats of terror acts in various Russian cities. He had joined the "Islamic State" (IS) (a terrorist organization, banned in Russia by the court, – note of the “Caucasian Knot) and went to Syria, where he is now, the “Life” has reported today citing its source.

In the meanwhile, the Russia’s FSB (Federal Security Bureau) has refused to confirm the information about the establishment of the author of telephone calls.

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent has interviewed Albert Abramov’s fellow villagers and friends, who failed to confirm his participation in the warfare for the IS in Syria, but reported that Abramov fought in the east of Ukraine for the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (known as DNR).
