Law enforcers report power of the bomb blown up in Ingushetia
The power of the bomb, which was blown up by a suicide bomber at a road-and-patrol service (known as DPS) block post in the Nazran District, was 7-8 kg of TNT equivalent. One of the killed militants has been preliminary identified as a resident of the Karabulak town, reported a law enforcement source.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the DPS block post near the village of Yandare in Ingushetia was attacked in the evening on November 5. A militant committed suicide bombing and his accomplices started an armed clash with law enforcers. Two policemen were killed as a result of the explosion. The National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC) has reported about two militants killed in the armed clash.
The building of the Ingush DPS block post, where the suicide bomber blew himself up, was almost completely destroyed by the explosion, reported the source.
"According to the preliminary information, the power of the explosive device attached to the suicide bomber's body <...> was 7-8 kg in TNT equivalent," the TASS quoted the source as reporting.
The body of the suicide bomber is under the ruins of the destroyed DPS block post building; and one of the militants killed in the shootout has been preliminary identified as a resident of Karabulak, the law enforcement source has added.
