Ramzan Kadyrov's relative heads Grozny police
Khas-Magomed Kadyrov, who headed the Department for drug control of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) for Chechnya, was appointed the chief of the MIA's Department for Grozny. The appropriate order was issued by Ruslan Alkhanov, Chechen Minister of Internal Affairs (MIA). This has been learned today by the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent from an official of the Chechen MIA.
Khas-Magomed Kadyrov was appointed the chief for the Department for drug control a little more than a month ago. "Earlier, he served as an assistant to the leader of the Chechen Republic. He knows our requirements for the prevention of drug addiction," the leader of Chechnya wrote in Instagram.
Isa, a member of a local NGO, has called the appointment of Khas-Magomed Kadyrov as "completely unexpected."
"Khas-Magomed Kadyrov spent only several weeks in his former position, and he did not have time to show himself at all. In general, it is actually nothing known about him except the fact that he was an assistant to Ramzan [Kadyrov]," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by Isa.
"According to me, the fact that Ramzan Kadyrov does hectic moves to appoint his nephews and trusted subordinates to more or less significant and profitable posts in the republic proves the uncertainty of our authority in the future," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by a leader of an NGO who preferred to remain anonymous.
