"Kunaki" film festival presents to audience three films dedicated to Caucasus

On the second day of the 11th North-Caucasian Open Film and TV Festival "Kunaki", ten films were screened, three of which were dedicated to the Caucasus. The film "The Blue Abyss" describes a group of karst lakes in Kabardino-Balkaria, the film "Venera" is dedicated to an ordinary woman from North Ossetia, and the picturesque places of the republic are shown in the film "The Legends of Abkhazia". The films about the Caucasus appeared to be of particular interest for the audience.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on November 15, the "Kunaki" film festival was opened in Abkhazia. On November 16, about 80 people came to the film screening.

"Kabardino-Balkaria has always been famous for its resorts, and there was also a resort not far from to the Blue Lakes. I would like all that to be revived," said Murat Bottaev, the director of the film "The Blue Abyss".

Moscow director Lyudmila Magkeeva says she got the idea for the film "Venera" on a sudden. She met a heroine of her film on a bus. The film shows a lot of beautiful natural places. According to the director's intention, she has used that way to show the harmony in which her heroine, 75-year-old Venera Khugaeva, lives.

In her film "The Legends of Abkhazia", Krasnodar director Irina Zolochevskaya described the picturesque places and legends of Abkhazia.
