North-Caucasian wrestlers win four gold medals at international tournament
On the first day of the international freestyle wrestling tournament "Alany-2017" held in Vladikavkaz, wrestlers from Northern Caucasus won four gold, three silver and four bronze medals.
Athletes from 12 countries – Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Bulgaria, Moldova, Georgia, Italy, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Slovakia, Uzbekistan and Russia are participating in the tournament.
On the first day of the competition, in the weight category of up to 57 kg, the gold medal was won by Azamat Tuskaev from North Ossetia.
In the weight category of up to 65 kg, Akhmed Chakaev from Dagestan became the gold medallist.
Alan Zaseev from North Ossetia defeated his compatriot Khetik Tsabolov in the final fight, the region15.ru reports.
The final fight in the weight category of up to 97 kg was won by Vladislav Baitsaev from North Ossetia, the RIA Novosti reports.
