Russian State Duma MP tells about the fate of Cossack Zabolotny in IS
Six people, captured in Syria, including Roman Zabolotny, a native of the Rostov Region, are supposedly alive; negotiations are underway with militants about hand the captives over, Victor Vodolatsky, a State Duma MP, has stated.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 4, Anatoly Kotlyarov, a Deputy of the Rostov City Duma, informed about execution of Zabolotny after he refused to become a militant.
On October 3, the terrorist organization "Islamic State" (IS), banned in Russia, posted a video in which Roman Zabolotny said that he and Grigory Tsurkanu were taken prisoner of war in Syria.
Earlier, a source reported that Zabolotny is alive, but "he is still in captivity." "Now, the fate of our fellow countryman and his friend Grigory Tsurkanu is being decided at talks in Iran," the "161.ru" agency quotes the source as saying.
