Internet posts photos made before attack on Andrei Rudomakha
Activists of the "Ecological Watch for Northern Caucasus" (EcoWatch) made photos within the fenced area in the forest near Gelendzhik. After that, they were exposed to beating. The photos taken by them and published today by the "Novaya Gazeta" newspaper prove the construction of capital buildings that is underway inside the fenced territory.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 28, 2017, unidentified persons attacked Andrei Rudomakha, the coordinator of the "EcoWatch", and his companions. Andrei Rudomakha was hospitalized.
The attack could be provoked by the recent inspection conducted by the "EcoWatch" in the vicinity of the Krinitsa village near Gelendzhik, Andrei Rudomakha believes. According to ecologists, a summer residence is being built in the territory of the forest fund near the village without any permits. The buildings under construction belong to a company registered in Saint Petersburg, and the works are headed by a well-known Petersburg advocate from Vladimir Putin's retinue.
According to Alexander Saveliev, an "EcoWatch" activist, a church is being built inside the fenced area, new roads are laid, foundation pits are dug in four sites where the forest trees are cut down; and foundations for capital buildings are poured down with concrete in several places. "Construction works are going on rapidly. They work until late at night, and construction vehicles do not cease rattling with the onset of darkness," said Alexander Saveliev as quotes today by the "Novaya Gazeta" in its article "Cut down everything and… everyone".
The newspaper has published several photos taken by ecologists. One of the photos shows a pit for construction, the second ‑ a building of a small church built amidst, and the third – an excavator standing in the forest.
