Kerimov's and Putin's plenipotentiaries put on US 'Kremlin List'

Magomedsalam Magomedov, the former leader of Dagestan, Senator Suleiman Kerimov, and the presidential plenipotentiaries in the Southern Federal District (SFD) and the North-Caucasian Federal District (NCFD) are included in the list of Russian officials and businessmen compiled by the US Department of Treasury in accordance with the new law on countering opponents of the country.

The "Kremlin List" published by the US Department of Treasury included 114 officials and heads of Russian state-owned companies, including all members of the Russian government, as well as 96 businessmen with fortunes exceeding one billion US dollars.

The secret annex to the "Kremlin List" may include persons with smaller fortunes and not included in the list of top-ranking officials, the "Interfax" reports today.

"The Kremlin List" is stipulated by the new Countering America's Adversaries Through Sanctions Act, the "Interfax" reports.

It is emphasized that the inclusion in the "Kremlin List" of individuals and organizations "in no way should be interpreted" as imposing sanctions on them, the intention to impose sanctions or establish restrictions on the conduct of business with those people or organizations.
