Resident of Sochi gives up An-148 flight from "Domodedovo" Airport and stays alive

Maxim Kolomeitsev, a resident of Sochi, has reported why he had to return his ticket for a flight with a "Saratov Airlines" airplane several days before a crash.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on February 11, the An-148 plane crashed in the Moscow Region after leaving the "Domodedovo" Airport to the city of Orsk. There were 71 people on board, including 65 passengers and six crew members. All of them were killed in the crash.

Maxim Kolomeitsev, a resident of Sochi, planned to use the above flight. According to the man, he wanted to celebrate his birthday on February 11 in Orsk, where his family members lived and buy a car there, but a seller informed him that because of a delay the car will be delivered on February 18, the RIA "Novosti" reports.

"As a result, I cancelled all tickets and bought new ones for Sochi-Moscow-Orenburg flight for February 19, since there was not any other flight suitable. Today (February 11), I ski in Krasnaya Polyana. And here I have learned about the tragedy. A lot of people called me and instead of congratulations, as usual, they asked if I flew to Orsk or not and whether everything was fine with me. At first I could not realize why they asked me such questions. Then a friend called me and said that such a tragedy had occurred," said Maxim Kolomeitsev as quoted by the "Kuban Novosti".
