In Dagestan, second child per year dies from dog bites

A four-year-old child, lost in Makhachkala on February 15, was found dead. According to a version released by the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), he died from stray dog bites, like a nine-year-old schoolgirl in February 2017.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in Dagestan, the problem of stray animals got a resonance after on February 19, 2017, a body of a 9-year-old schoolgirl killed in a dog attack was found in Makhachkala.

On February 15, parents filed to the police a complaint about disappearance of their child, reports today an official from the press service for the Dagestani MIA.

"In the course of the search, the child was found dead. There were dog bites on his body," the MIA's press officer reported.

According to him, the child presumably died in the suburbs of Makhachkala from stray dog bites, the "Interfax-South" reports.

Let us remind you that after the schoolgirl died as a result of a dogs' attack in February 2017, residents of the Dagestani cities began to report cases of mass shooting of dogs.
