Ediev, Said-Ali Betievich
Statesman. Member of pro-Moscow administration of Chechen Republic.
Born May 15, 1947, in the village of Karo-Bolto, Panfilovsky County, Frunze Region, Kirghiz SSR (Soviet Socialist Republic).
In 1971, graduated from Moscow Automobile Road Institute with honors as a Mechanical Engineering major.
In 1971-1973, was an engineer of the Road Administration Department No. 10A, Moscow.
In 1973-1976, was a graduate student at State Scientific Research Institute of Automobile Transport.
In 1976-1981, was a department head at Spetstyazhavtotrans complex of the Ministry of Transportation of RSFSR (Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic).
In 1981-1988, was a department head, international transportation director, and director of Project Technologic Bureau Chiavtotrans in Grozny. IN 1988, returned to Moscow, where was a deputy head of the Automobile Transport Administration of Ministry of Transportation Construction of USSR until 1992.
In 1992-1993, was a Minister of Transport and Roads of Chechen Republic. In 1993-1995, was President of EBS ltd., Moscow. In 1995-1997, was the head of Russian Labor Inspection's State Commission for Labor for Chechen Republic. In 1997-2000, was the top industry labor inspector for Moscow Region.
Since 2001, is Minister of Transportation of Chechen Republic.
Married, four children.
