Law enforcers disclose names of men killed in special operation in Chechnya

In the course of a special operation, Aslambek Aleroev, Khavazh-Bagauddin Kottoev and Akhmed Medov, natives of the Malgobek District of Ingushetia, as well as Dagestani native Nazim Taibov were killed in the Achkhoi-Martan District of Chechnya. This was reported by a source from the law enforcement bodies.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 20, four men were killed in a shootout with law enforcers in a forest close to the village of Bamut near the border with Ingushetia.

The oldest of the killed men was 34 years old, while the youngest was 20 years old, the Chechen police report.

"It is possible that other members of the criminal grouping are hiding near the border between the republics," the Interior Ministry added.

Residents of the Achkhoi-Martan District reported that since the evening of March 20, there were a lot of law enforcers and military vehicles accumulated in the area of the Bamut village. The local resident noted they "did not face such an accumulation for a long time."

"It is not clear where the militants came from, while no one ever heard of them for years. People say they came from the direction of Ingushetia," added Ibragim, a local resident.
