Woman in Chechnya suspected of links with Syrian militants

Investigators have unreasonably refused prosecuting a female resident of Chechnya, who had gone to join Syrian militants, but the prosecutor's office managed to cancel the refusal.

Today, a criminal case was opened against the young woman on the fact of her participation in an illegal armed formation (IAF) abroad.

According to law enforcers, the suspect is among militants in Syria. She faces up to 15 years in prison.
