Pashinyan is the only nominee for the post of Prime Minister of Armenia

The time period for nominating candidates for the Armenian Premiership is over; Nikol Pashinyan, the leader of the "Elk" protest movement, is the only candidate.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that today, the "Elk" faction of the National Assembly (Parliament) of Armenia officially nominated Nikol Pashinyan for the post of Prime Minister. Earlier, the ARF "Dashnaktsutyun" and the "Tsarukyan" factions had supported his candidacy.

"Other factions have failed to nominate their candidates," the press service of the Armenian National Assembly has reported.

The discussion of the candidate in the Parliament is scheduled for May 1; it is not excluded that the MPs will vote on the same day.
