Law enforcers tell about militants blocked in Derbent high-rise apartment block

In an apartment of the residential building cordoned off in Derbent, there are two alleged militants, a law enforcement source has reported.

Special agents have cordoned off a five-story house located in the vicinity of the Derbent Cognac Factory and evacuated its tenants.

Law enforcers have started talks with the alleged militants, the "360 Channel" has reported referring to its source.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the counterterrorist operation (CTO) regime was introduced in Derbent and the Derbent District on April 21. A total of 11 alleged militants were killed: three in a shootout in Derbent while checking documents; six – in a blocked house after refusing to lay down their arms; and the remaining two were shot dead in the forest.
