Volgograd activists hold flash mob in support of Aslan Yandiev

The action in support of Aslan Yandiev, extradited from Slovakia to Russia and accused of involvement in a series of terror acts in North Ossetia, was held in Volgograd.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in April 2007, Ingush native Aslan Yandiev, a 39-year-old native of the Prigorodny District of North Ossetia, was put on the international wanted list. In January 2011, he was detained in Slovakia on the charge of involvement in a series of terror acts in North Ossetia in 2005-2006. On July 17, Aslan Yandiev was extradited to Russia and placed in a SIZO (pre-trial prison) in Vladikavkaz.

On August 27, in Volgograd, activists held a flash mob in support of Aslan Yandiev. In their hands, participants of the action held a poster reading: "#SAVEASLANYANDIEV" and made photographs with him, the "Kavkaz.Realii" reports with reference to Vladimir Kruglyakov, an organizer of the protest action.

"Aslan Yandiev is a man who was deported from Slovakia to Russia in defiance of the UN position," Vladimir Kruglyakov has told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent earlier.

According to Vladimir Kruglyakov, the action in support of Aslan Yandiev was initiated by the Chechen association "Vaifond".
