Azerbaijan accuses Armenia of 89 cases of shelling

On August 28-29, the Armenian armed forces used large-calibre machine guns during the shelling, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) for Azerbaijan reported.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on August 28, Azerbaijan announced 94 cases of shelling in the conflict zone. The OSCE Mission conducted monitoring in the areas where, according to the information of the Azerbaijani MoD, cases of shelling took place, and OSCE observers found no violations of the ceasefire. Earlier, Nagorno-Karabakh accused Azerbaijan of 200 cases of shelling during the week from August 19 to 25.

On August 28-29, the positions of the Azerbaijani army were attacked in the village of Bala Jafarli in the Gazakh District and in the nameless heights of the Gadabay District, the website of the Azerbaijani MoD reports today.

As of 11:20 a.m. Moscow time of today, the Ministries of Defence for Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh have not posted on their websites any comments on the statement voiced by the Azerbaijani MoD.
