Underground singer from Saint Petersburg fined for song about sex with natives of Caucasus

Singer Albina Sexova has been fined 10,000 roubles under the article on incitement of hatred.

67-year-old singer Elena Kazarina has been fined for a video from her concert during which she performed a song with taboo language about having sex with natives of the Caucasus.

A linguistic examination has revealed that the song “negatively evaluates the group of people of ‘Russians’ and talks about the superiority of ‘residents of the Caucasus, Transcaucasia, and Central Asia’ over them,” the “OVD-Info”* project reports.

Elena Kazarina lives in Saint Petersburg. She worked as an architect and drew caricatures on Nevsky Prospect. The woman created an image of Albina Sexova in 2010: this woman with shocking behaviour performs her immodest songs for “people free from prejudice,” the “Fontanka.ru” portal reports.

Earlier, the “Caucasian Knot” has reported that the “Veterans of Russia” movement found a reason to request an investigation with regard to musicians of the Rostov “Kasta” band concerning an alleged assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine after the band’s new album had been released.
