Employee of Sochi airport dies when evacuating passengers
The cause of the death of the employee who has died today while evacuating passengers from a burning aircraft was previously identified as a heart attack, the representative of the Sochi Airport has stated.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that this night, at landing at the Sochi Airport, a Boeing with 170 people on board caught fire. 18 people were injured, six of them were hospitalized.
The airport press service has informed about the death of the employee, promising to render assistance to his family.
The deceased man managed the airport's emergency-rescue team; he felt bad during the evacuation of passengers, a source said. "The death cause is not directly related to the accident; the man had heart problems," the "Interfax" quoted the source as saying.
The TASS reports with reference to a source in the emergency services of the Krasnodar Territory that the man died on the way to hospital, adding that passengers suffered from carbon monoxide.
