Azerbaijan reports machine-gun shelling in conflict zone

During the last 24 hours, positions of the Azerbaijani Army in the Karabakh conflict zone were fired for 92 times, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence (MoD) has stated today.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on September 13, Azerbaijan reported about 87 cases of shelling its positions, and the day before, on September 12, about 90 such cases. In its turn, the MoD of Nagorno-Karabakh counted 200 bombardments of the positions of the Defence Army undertaken within the week of September 2-8.

Today, the press service of the Azerbaijani MoD has reported that during the last 24 hours, the ceasefire regime on the troops contact line was violated for 92 times.

The opponents shelled the positions of the Azerbaijani Army stationed in the villages of Kemerli, Ferekhli, Gushchu Airym, Djafarli, Bala Djafarli, Kokhanebi, Asrik Djyrdakhan and Garalar, and on nameless heights; the fire was conducted from large-calibre machine guns, the MoD wrote on its website.

The shelling was conducted from the positions located both in Armenia and "near the occupied villages," the press release has stressed.
