Clashes of activists and law enforcers occur near the KBR's village of Kendelen

Participants of the march in honour of the 310th anniversary of the Kanjali Battle and their supporters tried to break through the barriers; policemen used tear gas.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on September 18 Kendelen villagers refused to let the equestrian marchers in honour of the 310th anniversary of the Kanjali Battle through their village. Law enforcers blocked the village to prevent a large-scale conflict; several villagers received traumas in skirmishes with the marchers.

The confrontation of marchers with policemen broke out near the village of Zayukovo, located near Kendelen, where the marchers and their supporters have gathered today.

Having learned that the riders had changed the route of the march to bypass Kendelen, the marchers tried to break through the police barriers. Some of them threw stones at policemen; and the latter used tear gas in response.
