Six governors dismissed in Armenia

At its sitting, the Armenian government decided to dismiss the governors-members of the "Prosperous Armenia" and "ARF Dashnaktsutyun" Parties. The governors are dismissed for the same reason as the ministers from these parties, said the Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 2, Pashinyan told the protesters against the amendments to the law on the National Assembly (Parliament) about a counter-revolution in Armenia and demanded the resignation of the Republican Party and political forces that supported the above amendments.

On the same day, the Premier signed a decree on the dismissal of the ministers-members of the "Prosperous Armenia" and "Dashnaktsutyun" Parties. He stated that he would resign after the decree came into force, and called on his supporters to seek for early parliamentary elections.
