Authorities of Ingushetia sanction protest action in Magas

Today, the government of Ingushetia has sanctioned holding of a rally organized by opponents of the border agreement with Chechnya for the period from October 31 to November 2.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on September 26, Ramzan Kadyrov and Yunus-Bek Evkurov signed the agreement on securing the new border between Chechnya and Ingushetia. Starting from October 4, the capital of Ingushetia hosts the around-the-clock mass protest against the border changes. On October 17, the protest action was sanctioned by the government of the republic.

On October 16, despite protests in Magas, the Chechen authorities declared the law on the border had come in force.

At present, according to the live broadcast from a surveillance camera installed at the place of the rally, there are less people in the square in comparison with the first days of the rally.
