Armenian MPs refuse again to elect Nikol Pashinyan as Prime Minister

Not a single member of the Armenian parliament voted to appoint Nikol Pashinyan the Prime Minister of Armenia. Such a decision leads to the dissolution of the National Assembly.

On October 16, Nikol Pashinyan announced his resignation. On October 24, there was the first round of the voting to elect the Prime Minister. Not a single member of the Armenian parliament voted to appoint Nikol Pashinyan, the only candidate, the Prime Minister of Armenia.

The elections of members to the new parliament will be held no earlier than 30 and no later than 45 days after the dissolution of the National Assembly. The election date will be appointed by Armenian President Armen Sargsyan.

The early parliamentary elections will be held in December, announced Nikol Pashinyan, the acting Prime Minister.

Meanwhile, he hopes that today, the Armenian President will sign a decree dissolving the parliament.

Earlier, political analysts interviewed by the "Caucasian Knot" have noted that the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) had come to terms with the inevitability of the parliament dissolution.
