Member of Ingush clan shows reconciliation with Kadyrov

After the meeting of the head of Chechnya with the elder Mukhazhir Nalgiev in Ingushetia and their mutual apologies, a member of the Nalgiev family visited Grozny and thanked Ramzan Kadyrov for his rendered respect.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 19, the head of Chechnya came to meet the Ingush elder Mukhazhir Nalgiev, who had criticized Kadyrov at a rally in Magas. According to Kadyrov, he and Nalgiev apologized to each other for possible offenses. A video appeared in social networks, in which the Ingush activist Daut Yandiev apologized to Kadyrov for his speeches at the rally. The apologies of Ingush activists continued the practice of public repentances, residents of Chechnya suggested.

The return visit of Nalgievs' member corresponds to the Vainakh Code of Conduct, Musa, a local resident, has noted. "The Kadyrov's visit to the Ingush elder, who had insulted him, was to some extent demonstrative. He showed that he can admit his mistakes and forgive offenses. This corresponds to the Vainakhs' Code of Conduct for a man," he has explained.

"Disputes over the Chechen-Ingush border haven't ended; there is discontent on both sides; and mutual visits, forgiveness and apologies for the insults of both parties have positive affect on the situation," said Salavdi, a historian from Grozny.
