Opponents of border agreement hold rally in Nazran

Participants of a sanctioned action against the agreement on the Chechen-Ingush border signed by Yunus-Bek Evkurov and Ramzan Kadyrov left the place of the rally.

The protesters adopted a resolution with three demands: the abolition of the border agreement, the resignation of Yunus-Bek Evkurov, and the dissolution of the Ingush parliament, as well as the implementation of the law on the rehabilitation of repressed peoples in its territorial component.

The rally began in parallel with the session of the Constitutional Court of Russia to assess how the agreement on the border complied with the Constitution. The date of the verdict has not yet been reported. Two activists were detained while picketing in front of the building of the Constitutional Court in Saint Petersburg.
