Astrakhan officials report about resettling of family from burnt-down high-rise building
The family left homeless due to a fire on New Year's night in the Trusov District of Astrakhan was provided with other housing, the authorities have stated.
The fire occurred at night on January 1 in a five-storey apartment block in Treneva Street.
In one of the apartments, interior decoration caught fire; 15 tenants of the house were evacuated, the Chief Department for the Astrakhan Region of the Ministry for Emergencies (MfE) reported on its website on January 1. According to the preliminary version, the fire was caused by a violation of the rules for the technical operation of electrical equipment, the Department has specified. No victims were reported.
The fire occurred in the house, which had been partially resettled; one apartment on the fourth floor burned out completely; another one was damaged by fire, the administration of Astrakhan has reported on its website. The message explains that the apartment, in which the fire occurred, is a municipal one; its tenants had occupied it arbitrarily, the message states.
One family, whose apartment was damaged by fire, was resettled into a multi-storey building in Granovsky Lane, the Mayoralty has notes.
