Law enforcers report shootout in Derbent District of Dagestan

A shootout occurred in the village of Belidji, where in one of the houses law enforcers cordoned off members of the terrorist organization "Islamic State" (IS) banned in Russia. This was reported by sources from the law enforcement bodies.

Today, a counterterrorist operation (CTO) legal regime has been introduced in the Derbent District of Dagestan.

"The militants rendered resistance and opened fire on law enforcers," reported a source as quoted by the TASS. It was also reported that no law enforcers had been wounded.

It should be noted that according to the calculations run by the "Caucasian Knot" and information from open sources, the special operation in the Derbent District became the second one in 10 months. Recently, the CTO legal regime was introduced there in April 2018.
