Azerbaijani Ambassador aggravates dispute about instigators of mass fight in Moscow

After the Ambassador of Azerbaijan stated that a mass fight of Chechens and Azerbaijanis in Moscow had been provoked by the third party, Facebook users wrote their versions about the ethnicity of the "third forces."

Earlier, Polad Bülbüloğlu, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Russia, has stated that the fight between Azerbaijanis and Chechens in Moscow was provoked by the "third forces."

Fuad Abbasov, the head of the Centre for Information Initiatives, stated that the fight had been provoked by a citizen of Russia of Armenian origin. Fuad Abbasov made public the instigator's passport details. The owner of the passport claimed he had not been involved in the incident.

In comments on the pages of the "Snob" and "Meduza" on Facebook, users mentioned several nationalities that would benefit from a split in the Muslim environment.

At night on February 15, the fight with shooting occurred near the "Neolith" cafe. According to eyewitnesses, the fight involved 50-100 natives of Chechnya and Azerbaijan. Sources reported that the conflict had been preceded by mutual insults in social networks.

Polad Bülbüloğlu stated that the conflict near the cafe was of domestic nature and users of social networks distorted the information.

"Anything can happen in large cities like Moscow, where millions of people live ... It is worse when it is presented as an interethnic conflict. Today, unfortunately, social networks have become a weapon, more terrible than a machine gun," said Polad Bülbüloğlu as quoted by the "Govorit Moskva" Radio Station.

"We talked about cooling the hotheads and persuading them that it was impossible to behave like that. The situation has calmed down, and the incident has been settled," the Ambassador of Azerbaijan has added.
