Four persons detained at Salafi mosque in Makhachkala

Law enforcers have taken away four believers after the prayer in the mosque in Omarov Street in Makhachkala, a similar raid was conducted at the mosque in the dwelling settlement of Semender, eyewitnesses have reported.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that law enforcers' raids near the above mosque in Omarov Street are usually held every Friday. A week ago, at least two believers were detained.

According to Idris Yusupov, a journalist he saw four persons being taken away from the mosque for personality identification.

Magomed, a local resident, said that the law enforcers were up to 20 in number. He noted that in 2015 such raids in Semender were frequent, but now they are held less often. He has explained the law enforcers' activation by the upcoming holidays.

Abdurakhman, another local resident, has confirmed that raids in Semender are now rare.
