About 30 houses burned down in Dagestani village

A fire that broke out in the village of Tissi-Akhitli of the Tsumadin District of Dagestan has destroyed about 30 houses.

The fire occurred in the evening on March 1. The signal about the burning dwelling houses in the village was received by the Ministry for Emergencies (MfE) at 9:00 p.m. Moscow time.

The fire was extinguished at 0:35 a.m. Moscow time on March 2. According to preliminary data, the fire covered the area of 1500 square meters; and 73 residential houses were saved, says the message posted on the website of the Chief Department of the MfE in Dagestan.

The fire was extinguished by fire-fighter of three districts – the Agvali, Botlikh, and Karata ones. Residents of nearby villages came to the aid of Tissi-Akhitli village; in total, about 1000-1200 people extinguished the fire, says the website of the administration of the Tsumadin District.
