Activists summoned for questioning after rally, Ingush activist reports
Four activists were summoned to the police for questioning as witnesses, reported Ismail Nalgiev, the head of the "Elections of Ingushetia".
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 26, residents of Ingushetia, who demanded the resignation of Ingush leader Yunus-Bek Evkurov, prolonged their action in a square in Magas without the sanction of the authorities. The above led to clashes with law enforcers on March 27. Yunus-Bek Evkurov stated that organizers of the protests provoked young people to violate the law.
Ismail Nalgiev associated the summoning for questioning with an attempt to disperse the activists. "This is most likely connected to a storm of the protesters on March 27 ... I believe this is pressure on activists and protesters," he said.
Ismail Nalgiev also added that activists Musa Malsagov, Bagaudin Khautiev, and Barakh Chemurziev were summoned for questioning.
