Ingush rights defender, Magomed Mutsolgov, reports law enforcers' visits

After having searched his office and home, law enforcers came two days in a row to the home of Magomed Mutsolgov, the head of the Ingush human rights organization "Mashr". He himself believes that they are acting under pressure from the authorities.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on April 15, law enforcers conducted searches at Mutsolgov's home and at the "Mashr" office. Activists have linked the searches with the protest actions held in Ingushetia, in which Magomed took part. According to Mr Mutsolgov, law enforcers have seized documents, telephones and video cameras; however, they behaved correctly.

Law enforcers are acting under pressure of the authorities, who demand from them to launch criminal prosecutions, Magomed Mutsolgov believes. "Of course, I'm not going to hide from them; and as soon as I return to the republic, having finished my businesses, I'll go to talk with law enforcers," he has added.
