Ismail Nalgiev, Ingush activist, arrested for two months

The court has arrested in absentia the Ingush activist, Ismail Nalgiev, for two months, his advocate Andrei Sabinin and law enforcement sources inform.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Ismail Nalgiev, the coordinator of the organization "Choice of Ingushetia", was detained on May 8 in Minsk, from where he planned to fly to the Czech Republic. On May 11, he was taken to Nalchik; he is accused of using violence against a law enforcer.

On March 26, protesters in Ingushetia arbitrarily extended their rally in Magas, which on the following day resulted in clashes with law enforcers. On April 2-11, 40 persons were detained in connection with these events.

The advocate has noted that Nalgiev is a figurant of the same case with the leaders of Ingush protests, Barakh Chemurziev, Akhmed Barakhoev and Musa Malsagov. All the four are charged with organizing the use of violence, dangerous to human health, against law enforcers-state servants.
