KBR woman complains about inquiry into kidnapping case

Over the past six months, law enforcers of Nalchik did nothing to investigate the kidnapping of two young children from the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR), Kamila Zukaeva, a KBR resident, has stated. Her former husband has told the police that the children are with him; therefore, the court judgement to return them to their mother has not been enforced.

According to Kamila Zukaeva's complaint, her two young sons were kidnapped and taken outside the KBR on November 20, 2018. The boys were kidnapped, when Kamila's brother was taking his nephews to the gym. Two men beat him up, grasped the boys and left.

Later, Kamila's former husband, Rashid Khasanov, a resident of the Karachay-Cherkessian Republic (KChR), said that the children were with him in Kislovodsk. Investigators then concluded that the boys had been taken away by their father, although he was not among the kidnappers.

Kamila Zukaeva has unsuccessfully sought to initiate a criminal case about kidnapping. Now, six months later, the whereabouts of her sons has not been established. Investigators even failed to identify the kidnappers and bring them to justice, the woman has complained.
