Azerbaijan claims 20 shelling attacks in conflict zone

Positions of the Azerbaijani army in the Karabakh conflict zone were shelled from large-calibre machine guns, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) for Azerbaijan reports today.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on June 19, Azerbaijan also accused Armenia of machine gun attacks and registered 19 violations of the ceasefire regime over 24 hours.

"Over 24 hours, units of the Armenian armed forces used large-calibre machine guns and 20 times violated the ceasefire regime in different directions of the front," reports today the Azerbaijani Mod on its website.

According to the Azerbaijani MoD, the positions of the Azerbaijani army in the village of Zamanly and at the nameless heights in the Gadabay District were shelled.

By 8:40 a.m. Moscow time on today, the Ministries of Defence for Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh have not yet posted on their websites any comments concerning the statement voiced by the Azerbaijani MoD.
