Kadyrov accuses journalists of distorting his words about Imam Shamil

In the video that has appeared on the network, Ramzan Kadyrov is convincing his two friends-Dagestanis that his words about Imam Shamil were misunderstood.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on the 20th anniversary of the militants' invasion into Dagestan, the head of Chechnya called false the statement that "Chechen terrorists attacked Dagestan". He also compared the events of 1999 with the Caucasian War of the 19th century, accusing Imam Shamil of repressions against Chechens for their unwillingness to confront Russia. Residents of Dagestan condemned these Kadyrov's statements.

Judging by the video, Kadyrov convinces the interlocutors that he could not say anything bad about Imam Shamil.

"On the contrary, I say that I respect Imam Shamil as a spiritual person," the head of Chechnya has stated.
