Mothers of killed Dagestanis disappointed with court's decision to return case to Grozny

In Chechnya, no court will be able to consider without bias the case of Dagestani residents, who, according to the Chechen law enforcement bodies, were killed in a shootout. This opinion was voiced by mothers of the Dagestani residents accused posthumously.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on August 12, the Supreme Court (SC) of Russia refused to transfer to another region the consideration of the case of eight Dagestani residents, who, according to the Chechen law enforcement bodies, were killed in the shootout.

The relatives of the eight Dagestani residents killed in Chechnya are disappointed with the decision pronounced by the Supreme Court of Russia. A mother of Kamil Djamaludinov hoped that the Russian Supreme Court would pronounce an unbiased decision.

"In Chechnya, there has never been and will not be any unbiased investigation ... I hoped that at least the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation would make an unbiased decision," Aminat Djamaludinova told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent. According to the woman, "there is no longer any hope that the son will be acquitted."

Umraikhan Gasanova, a mother of Islam Magomedov, also rules out the possibility of an unbiased consideration of the case by the Supreme Court of Chechnya. "Of course, we cannot speak of an unbiased consideration of the case in Chechnya. We thought it would be possible in any other region," Umraikhan Gasanova told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

The woman believes such a decision was made because of the fact that "the case had been fabricated." "Our children were kidnapped in Dagestan, and there are witnesses and billing (of mobile phone connections). There is a video record of the chase. And they say that our children were killed during a special operation," Umraikhan Gasanova said.
