Law enforcers copy drivers' data near mosque in Makhachkala

Today, on August 30, at least 50 law enforcers were engaged in stopping drivers who have visited their Friday namaz (prayer) in "Tangim" mosque in Makhachkala. The drivers' data were copied, Idris Yusupov, a journalist, has informed.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in the vicinity of the "Tangim" mosque, law enforcers are regularly conducting raids, and are periodically detaining believers. On August 16, the check affected not only adults, but also teenagers.

According to journalists, law enforcers recorded car numbers plates and made photos of drivers' licenses, when the latter were leaving the mosque after the prayer.

When Idris Yusupov asked about the aim of the checks, policemen replied that this was prophylactic work "with alcohol and drug addicts."
