South Ossetia is concerned about the Georgian police post near the border

The Georgian block-post should not be built near the border, the South-Ossetian MPs have stated amid the construction works undertaken by the Georgian side near the village of Sinaguri. The post is being removed for the convenience of local residents, the Georgia's State Security Service (SSS) has explained.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that South Ossetia treated the erection by Georgian militaries of a block-post in the vicinity of the village of Tsnelis as an act of aggression. In its turn, the Georgia's SSS asserts that the territory, where the post is being deployed, is under the Georgian jurisdiction.

Residents of the village of Sinagur in the Dzau District of South Ossetia have complained about the construction undertaken near the border.

MPs intend to hold consultations on this issue, the IA "Res" reports. Alexander Pliev, Vice-Speaker of South-Ossetian Parliament, has noted that the parliament will react harshly to the block-post erection by Georgia near the South-Ossetian border.

Atsamaz Bibilov, the chairman of the parliament's committee for defence and security, has added that South Ossetia should strengthen the border guarding along the entire perimeter.

The post, which has disturbed Sinagur villagers, was located near the Georgian village of Perevi; and it is now being relocated by several hundred meters, the Georgia's SSS has reported, adding that this section of the administrative border is allowed to cross only on foot.
