Nagorno-Karabakh reports about killed Azerbaijani soldier
The Ministry of Defence (MoD) of Nagorno-Karabakh reported about an act of diversion committed by Azerbaijani soldiers on September 22 and about the death of one of the attackers.
Today, the Nagorno-Karabakh MoD has reported about an attempt of an attack from Azerbaijan which took place in the southeast direction of the contact line of troops. The incident occurred at about 4:15 p.m. local time on September 22, reported the Nagorno-Karabakh MoD as translated by the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
"(The Azerbaijani soldiers) left a killed colleague in the neutral zone and retracted to their initial positions. The Nagorno-Karabakh army suffered no losses," the Nagorno-Karabakh MoD reported in its press release.
The Nagorno-Karabakh MoD also reports that some episodes of the attack "were recorded by surveillance cameras."
The killed man was "one of the fighters" of the Azerbaijani army, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent learned from Artsrun Ovannisyan, the press secretary of the Armenian Ministry of Defence.
As at 10:10 a.m. Moscow time on today, the Ministry of Defence of Azerbaijan has not yet posted on its official website any comments on the statement released by the Ministries of Defence for Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh.
